Andrea Zanatelli is a Milan-based Italian artist. Drawing inspiration from the visual legacy of the Arts and Crafts movement, the Pre-Raphaelites, Victorian aesthetics and European folklore, he creates meticulously layered compositions that weave together historical iconography, decorative arts and literary references. His work gives new life to forgotten imagery, reimagining the past through a contemporary, poetic lens.

His work has been featured in a range of independent publications, including Dapper Dan, The Ingénue, The Fall, The Floristry and The Greatest Magazine.

In 2019, Andrea created a series of artworks for Florence Welch to accompany Florence + the Machine's fourth studio album, High as Hope.

In 2021, he collaborated with Courtney Love on her video series, Bruises of Roses.

Later that year, his first book, Love Is Enough: Poetry Threaded with Love, featuring an introduction by Florence Welch, was published by Michael O'Mara Books in the UK and Europe. In early 2022, the book was released in the United States and Canada by Andrews McMeel.

Between 2021 and 2022, Andrea reunited with Florence Welch and Polydor Records to create a series of lyric artworks for selected tracks from Florence + the Machine's fifth studio album, Dance Fever.

Throughout 2024, Andrea continued to expand a number of long-term creative collaborations. He worked with Florence + the Machine on Symphony of Lungs, the project celebrating the fifteenth anniversary of Lungs, reimagined by Jules Buckley and his orchestra for the 69th BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Andrea created the project's key artwork, which became the central visual identity across the album cover, posters, merchandise, stage visuals and the embroidered costumes worn by the choir during the performance.

In April, he became the first artist invited to Liberty London's LBTY fragrance series, creating the visual identity for the launch of Zephirine.

In September, a limited edition of Angela Carter's Book of Wayward Girls and Wicked Women was published featuring Andrea's artwork, The Altarpiece, on its cover.

The following month marked Andrea's first collaboration with House of Hackney, resulting in a collection of three cushions and a wallpaper inspired by his distinctive visual language.

Also in October, the Milan home Andrea shares with his partner, Kenny Spooren, was featured in Italian Interiors: Rooms with a View by Laura May Todd, published by Phaidon. The apartment was subsequently showcased by The World of Interiors, celebrating its layered approach to collecting, decoration and domestic storytelling.

In 2025, Andrea renewed his collaboration with House of Hackney with The Nature of Morris, a collection of three cushions inspired by the legacy of William and May Morris and the enduring ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement. The collection launched in November.

In December, Andrea was photographed in his Milan home by Scott Schuman for Milano, the Taschen volume dedicated to the city's distinctive cultural and aesthetic identity.

Between 2025 and 2026, Andrea collaborated once again with Florence + the Machine on the band's sixth studio album, Everybody Scream. Creating twelve lyric artworks - one for each track - he developed a visual language that expanded the album's poetic universe through recurring themes of witchcraft, medieval iconography, Gothic literature and Victorian aesthetics. The collaboration also extended to the album's official merchandise, further reinforcing the long-standing creative dialogue between Andrea and Florence Welch.
