ANDREA ZANATELLI X HOUSE OF HACKNEY

CAPSULE COLLECTION

In October 2024, the capsule collection Andrea Zanatelli x House of Hackney was launched. Inspired by myth, the cosmos, and the romance of the past, the collection showcases Andrea’s talismanic artworks sprawled across rich velvets and House of Hackney’s iconic prints - bejewelled and bewitching in garnet, gold, and deepest black.

The collection comprises three cushions and one wallpaper design.

The featured artworks are The Midnight Sun CeremonyThe Flower at the Gate, and a new interpretation, The Blue Rose Weeping, which merges one of Andrea’s creations with House of Hackney’s Aquifolia print.

This collaboration pays tribute to the recurring themes in Andrea’s imagination: the ornate beauty of the Arts and Crafts Movement, the lavishness of the Victorian era, and the mysteries of the esoteric world. At the heart of the collection lies the enduring influence of William and May Morris.

Another core inspiration behind the collection is not only nature - its flora and fauna - but also the spirit of transformation, decorative ingenuity, and idealism that defined the Arts and Crafts Movement in the late 19th century. This ethos of beauty and betterment resonates throughout the collaboration.

Building on this foundation, the Andrea Zanatelli x House of Hackney capsule takes a further step by supporting Stop Ecocide International, a leading environmental organisation.

A portion of proceeds from the collection is donated to this cause. In keeping with this commitment, the wallpaper is produced using Forest Stewardship Council - certified wood pulp, while the cushions are crafted from organic cotton velvet and filled with 25% regenerative wool and 75% Woolkeepers-certified wool.

To mark the launch, the collection was photographed in the Milan home of Andrea Zanatelli and his partner Kenny Spooren, where House of Hackney’s pieces harmoniously interact with the couple’s furniture, antiques, and personal collections.
